Types of Foldable Board Game Board
Foldable game boards used when the game board is too large to fit in a box as a whole. There are various ways to fold a game board, but there are generally three methods.
1. No Fold
It is just a piece of cardboard. Since board games generally limited in size and packaging, it recommended not to exceed 30*30CM.
2. Bi Fold Game Board
Bi-fold game boards mainly seen in classic games such as Scrabble. The boxes with these boards tend to be rectangular to contain the length of the game board when folded. It can folded horizontally or vertically.
3.Quad Fold Game Board
If your game board is square, it is best to use a quad fold game board as it will ensure that your game maintains its square size when folded.
4.Six Fold Game Board
A game board with one long side can be folded into a six-fold. A six-fold used for many current European and independent games; they are rectangular and usually very large. Their maximum size is 640×880 mm.

Material of Board Game Board
Game boards, just like chits and tiles, best made of cardboard. We recommend using 2mm thick cardboard to prevent the game board from bending out of shape. In this regard, the game board should also made of high-quality, dense cardboard to prevent it from cracking, as a lot of weight is placed on the seams during the folding and opening action. However, unlike chits and tiles which are best made with 250gsm paper, the game board is best made with 157gsm paper. As 250gsm is thicker it does not allow the game board to fold completely flat and separate easily with the two pieces joined. To ensure the thinner paper does not peel and the game board does not crack at the seams we use a new reinforced game board with fabric threads securing the two pieces of the board.
